GoBuyPlants Blue Garden Bushes sku-14960852673 Hydrangea

The GoBuyPlants Big Daddy hydrangea is a compact deciduous shrub listed under Garden Bushes in Blue, sold in a 3 gal pot (UPC 097892554131; SKU sku-14960852673). It blooms on old and new wood. Its glossy, dark green serrated leaves turn yellow in fall. Large, rounded mophead flower clusters open green to white and gain color through summer.

Flowers turn blue in acidic soil and pink in alkaline soil, and they attract pollinators. For the best bloom, grow it in partial sun and rich, moist, well-drained soil. It needs medium maintenance; mulch helps retain moisture and protect it over winter. The shrub has slight susceptibility to bud blight, wilt, leaf spot and mildew, with occasional aphids.

It can be used in accents, group plantings, borders, woodland gardens, foundation plantings, hedges and containers, alongside plants such as Hibiscus, Itea and Azalea.
