GoBuyPlants Gumpo White Azalea Garden Bushes sku-14976855374

GoBuyPlants Gumpo White Azalea is a dwarf, late-blooming evergreen in the White Garden Bushes category. It comes in a 3 gal pot (SKU sku-14976855374; UPC 097892035036). Small leaves surround large, ruffled white flowers that bloom from late spring into summer. The shrub grows 1.5' to 2' tall and 2' to 3' wide; space plants 2' apart. It grows in partial sun and rich, acidic, well-drained soil.

Hardy in USDA Zones 7 to 9, down to 0°F, it may lose flower buds to winter freezes or develop winter leaf burn. It needs moderate water, with drainage to prevent root rot and mulch to keep roots from drying out. Keep it away from the drip lines of walnut-family trees and acidify soil as needed to a pH of 5 to 6.5.

Excessive humidity, especially in southern climates, can lead to powdery mildew, twig blights and rust. The flowers attract pollinators and butterflies. Plant it as an accent or in groups, borders, woodland or wildlife gardens, naturalized areas, foundation plantings, hedges or containers. Other azaleas, Japanese maples and camellias are companion plants.
