No rating yet(0 ratings)GoBuyPlants Garden Bushes, SKU sku-14954054764, UPC 097892043536, includes a Red Johanna Azalea in a 3 gal pot. This semi-dwarf, reblooming evergreen shrub has dense, glossy foliage that emerges light green, matures to emerald and takes on a burgundy tint in winter. Ruffled deep red flowers bloom in spring and attract bees and butterflies.
It grows 3' - 4' tall and 4' - 5' wide, with 4' spacing recommended. It is hardy in USDA Zones 6 - 8, down to 0°F. The shrub prefers part sun and acidic, rich, well-drained soil. It needs moderate water; proper drainage helps avoid root rot. It can be planted in masses or as a specimen, or used in woodland gardens, borders, foundation plantings, hedges and containers.
The source suggests Fatsia, October Daphne and Astilbe as companion plants.
