Neoprene boots may have additional bellows to resist stress and cracking. Parts with an HD suffix use a thermoplastic outboard boot for severe-duty applications; this model is not identified as an HD part. Each unit includes a new retaining nut because the original may be worn or stripped. Pneumatically crimped boot clamps seal the boot to the housing.
The grease is intended for high-temperature, high-torque use, and rolled splines are designed to fit the mating hub and transmission.
