CARDONE's engineering processes are intended to make its CV drive axles meet O.E. form, fit and function. Neoprene boots have additional bellows where needed to resist bellows stress and cracking, a leading cause of boot failure. Part numbers with an HD suffix are for severe-duty applications and include a thermoplastic outboard boot designed to last longer than a traditional neoprene boot.
Each unit comes with a new axle retaining nut because the original may be worn or stripped. Axle measurements are checked after assembly for fit. Pneumatically crimped boot clamps seal the boot to the housing. The grease is designed for high-temperature and high-torque use, and precision-rolled splines are designed to fit the mating hub and transmission.
