CARDONE 66-7240 Cardone Multicolor CV Axle sku-167865953

CARDONE Cardone 66-7240 is a Multicolor front-left CV axle assembly, sku-167865953, UPC 082617635653. The title lists fitment for 1996-2005 Audi and Volkswagen vehicles and references 8D0 407 271Bc. Vehicle applications include Audi A4 2001-96, S4 2002-00 and Volkswagen Passat 2005-98.

The listing also specifies 2002-2005 Volkswagen Passat 4 Cyl 1.8 L, 1998-2001 Passat 6 Cyl 2.8 L, 2000-2002 Audi S4, 2001 Audi A4 4 Cyl 1.8 L and 1996-2000 Audi A4 6 Cyl 2.8 L; check the vehicle fit widget for other applications. OE references are 3910016E02, 3910026E10, 3910055E01 and 39100D5610. The axle is engineered to meet O.E. form, fit and function.

Its neoprene boots may have additional bellows to resist stress and cracking. CV axles with an “HD” suffix, for severe-duty applications, include a thermoplastic outboard boot for durability compared with a traditional neoprene boot. Each unit includes a new axle retaining nut because the original may be worn or stripped.

Measurements are checked after assembly; boot clamps are pneumatically crimped for a seal, the grease is designed for high temperature and torque, and the splines are precision rolled for fit in the hub and transmission.
