CARDONE says its engineering processes meet O.E. form, fit, and function. Neoprene boots have additional bellows where needed to resist stress and cracking. The HD suffix denotes a severe-duty application with a thermoplastic outboard boot intended to last longer than a traditional neoprene boot. Each unit includes a new axle retaining nut because the original may be worn or stripped.

Axle measurements are checked after assembly; pneumatically crimped boot clamps seal the boot to the housing. The grease is intended for high temperatures and torque, and precision-rolled splines fit the mating hub and transmission. OE references: F87Z3B436AA, ZZP025400, ZZP025400A.
