The Freedom 458 is a 2500W inverter/charger designed for RV use, delivering 120 Vac at 60 Hz with a filtered modified sine wave (MSW) output that can power appliances, electronics and other onboard equipment. Its high-surge capability lets the inverter start motors and other heavy loads, while built-in safety and automatic shut-down protect your deep-cycle batteries from excessive depletion. Charging and battery care are handled by an automatic 3-stage charger with temperature-controlled multistage charging. Temperature compensation with equalization stage ensures optimal charging for deep-cycle batteries and a battery temperature sensor is included for accurate regulation. A built-in transfer switch seamlessly switches between inverter power and incoming AC, and power sharing helps prevent the source AC input circuit breaker from tripping. Control and monitoring options range from the simple Freedom Basic Remote for basic inverter/charger control to optional Link instrumentation for advanced battery monitoring and remote control; customized settings can be programmed with the Freedom Basic Remote or Link 1000 panels.
