MSD 85787 is a Red, One Size distributor in Performance Ignition and Electrical, SKU sku-612229052, UPC 090127099353. It is designed for the Holley Ford 351W Hi-Ram carbureted manifold P/N 300-243 or 300-243BK with a 300-207 or 300-207BK Hi-Ram plenum top. Its steel distributor gear is compatible with most hydraulic roller cam applications.

It requires an MSD Ignition Control that accepts a magnetic input signal. Nylon pads help the advance weights move smoothly; their pins are staked and TIG welded to the plate. The mechanical advance can be locked out for crank trigger systems. The chrome moly steel advance plate and weights are fine blanked and QPQ coated to reduce friction.

A sealed ball bearing guides the polished, QPQ-coated steel shaft. The magnetic pickup and precision reluctor provide stable trigger signals across the rpm range. The housing and base are CNC-machined billet aluminum. Supplied springs and stop bushings allow adjustment of the mechanical advance timing curve.
