DW DRKTM4C05AD346 sku-994851936 Drums By Brand Shell Pack

DW's US-made Collector's Series 5-piece lacquer custom shell pack has North American maple and African mahogany shells, chrome hardware and a lacquer finish; its listed color is Brown. Maple contributes low-end punch, warmth and attack, while mahogany contributes warm vintage tones, punch and versatility. Toms in the 8-13" range are 6-ply; toms 14" and larger are 7-ply.

Bass drums are 7-ply, and snare drums are 10-ply with 6-ply reinforcement hoops. The shells use Vertical Low Timbre (VLT) construction, with outermost and innermost plies running vertically rather than horizontally to reduce shell tension and increase resonance. DW's patented STM suspension tom mounts let drums vibrate independently while holding them in place.

The lug rod receivers have no washers or grommets that would inhibit them, reducing choking and making tuning easier. DW's patented True-Pitch rods use 5mm threads rather than the standard 12/24. The source compares 1 thread every 0 8mm on True-Pitch rods, about 20% more threads, with 1 thread every 1 05mm on most other drums for more precise tuning.

The configuration includes a 22" x 18" kick drum; 10" x 8" and 12" x 9" mounted toms; and 14" x 12" and 16" x 14" floor toms. Cymbals, hardware and snare are sold separately. Listed under Drums By Brand. Model: DRKTM4C05AD346. SKU: sku-994851936. UPC: 647139609836.
