DW DRKTFPC04BE040 Black Unisex Shell Pack sku-27947546

DW Collector's Series 4-piece shell pack, model DRKTFPC04BE040, is a Black, Unisex item in Advanced Musical Instruments, sku-27947546, UPC 647139219752. It has North American maple shells with 3-ply reinforcement hoops. Toms from 8 to 13 inches are 6-ply; shells 14 inches and larger, including bass drums, are 7-ply. Maple provides low-end punch, warmth and attack.

The VLT rack toms use vertically oriented inner and outer plies to reduce shell tension and increase resonance. The floor tom and kick use X Shell construction with vertical inner-ply cross-lamination, intended to lower pitch. The STM suspension mounts let toms vibrate independently while holding them in place; the absence of washers or grommets at the lug rod receiver reduces choking.

True-Pitch rods have 5mm threads instead of standard 12/24 threads: the listed spacing is 0 8 mm per thread, about 20% more threads, compared with 1 05 mm on most other drums. With chrome hardware, the pack contains 10"x8" and 12"x9" VLT rack toms, a 16"x14" X-Shell floor tom and a 23"x18" X-Shell kick. Snare drum, cymbals and hardware are sold separately.
