The unit supports wireless E-TTL operation when paired with compatible Speedlite units such as the 600EX-RT, enabling advanced multi-flash arrangements and greater creative flexibility. Camera-side control is straightforward via the illuminated dot-matrix LCD and 12 custom functions for fine-tuning flash behavior. Compatibility spans a range of Canon macro optics, including the EF-S 60mm f/2.8, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM, EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, and the MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1–5x.
