Sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Prior to purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB replacement will address your problem, and check the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Many hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation; that chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the work. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
