This sale is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential drive-specific data; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
