This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant; for customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
