This listing is for the hard drive circuit board only (PCB / logic board). No hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Use this PCB for hard drive repair or data recovery tasks. Many hard drive PCBs store essential settings in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include free adaptation service—either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
