This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep large quantities in stock, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB corresponds to the WD2500JS-40TGB0 / 2061-701335-100 AF 3.5" SATA family. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration and service parameters stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement circuit board. If possible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
