This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — NO hard drive enclosure, platters, or other HDD components are included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: HDD repair or data recovery. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you can physically transplant the ROM chip, a local computer technician can typically perform the operation. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
