This item is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery scenarios. Many drive PCBs contain a unique ROM memory chip that stores critical data required for normal operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer.
