This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate properly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. Services: for orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
