This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repairs for compatible models. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its stored data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
