This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the particular board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before ordering, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD circuit boards include a ROM "memory" chip that stores drive-specific data required for correct operation; that chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to your new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
