This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. These PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards store unique configuration data inside a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
