Product is the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the specific PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm this replacement will address your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
