This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most HDD circuit boards contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
