This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair or data recovery, this replacement PCB can restore functionality when matched and installed correctly. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store unique data in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to work properly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include free adaptation service, which covers moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
