This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. No hard drive is included. Due to high stock levels, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip—or its data—must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
