This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCB assemblies store unique calibration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
