This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery use. Before purchasing, consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique information on the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can typically perform the chip transplant if the chip is removable. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transfer the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
