This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB replacement can be used as a donor part when compatible. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM "memory" data that is essential for correct operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
