Item is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Since we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the operation. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
