Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for proper drive operation; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
