Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue, please use our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
