This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact circuit board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in HDD repair or data recovery situations. Before ordering, please review our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that replacing the board is likely to resolve your issue, and consult the Donor Matching Guide to verify compatibility. Many hard drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose contents are required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
