This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
