This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, please verify that a replacement PCB will address your drive’s problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM (“memory”) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. Our offer: for orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either physically moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
