This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repairs or data recovery operations. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique information on a ROM "memory" chip; this data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
