This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of a compatible WD 3.5" SATA drive. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most PCBs store unique drive-specific information in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for correct drive operation, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If physically transplanting the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
