Compact rotating collar for 85mm lens mounts that lets you change camera orientation without removing the rig from your head. Loosen the lock-knob, rotate the body to the built-in stop and retighten to switch between horizontal and vertical positions while the camera remains clamped to a ballhead. Construction: two-ring design — an inner ring carries a camera plate that fastens to the camera base, while the outer ring features an Arca-swiss plate at its base. The Arca-swiss base includes both 1/4 and 3/8 thread sockets so it can be used with a variety of tripod heads. Installation is straightforward: mount the camera body to the lens support plate, attach the lens to the camera, then secure the entire assembly to your tripod via the Arca-swiss QR plate on a ballhead or directly using the base thread socket. Improved balance and stability come from supporting the combined camera and lens kit at the collar so the center of gravity lies between camera and lens. The camera plate has a captive slot and can be shifted up or down to accommodate cameras fitted with battery grips, ensuring compatibility with models such as EOS R1/R3, EOS 1D-X Series, EOS R5/R6/R5C/R6II with battery grip BR-G10, EOS 5D Mark IV+BG-E20, D5/D6, D850+MB-D18, a7riii/a7riv/a7rv+VE-C4EM.
