The push-to-connect brass fitting adds a line to an existing plumbing system and can be installed in wet lines without solder, glue or additional tools. Its slip end works with copper or CPVC; the non-slip end works with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT or HDPE SDR-9.
No PEX tube liner is needed, so the fitting does not restrict flow when used with copper or CPVC. A reinforced stainless steel collar locks in the cartridge, adds strength and provides a 50 percent reduction in insertion force. The forged DZR brass fitting is lead free and meets the same standards for commercial and residential plumbing applications as other SharkBite pipe fittings.
