Product is the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) only — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will fix your unit by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate 2.5" PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip that is essential for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
