This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for normal drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
