This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — if you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually handle the chip transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
