This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Many Seagate boards contain unique data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM or its data must be moved or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer repair technician can usually perform the task. For customers purchasing $60.00 or more, we include free adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the new board with the correct ROM data.
