Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive is not included. Because we maintain a large stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique, drive-specific data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board (or the ROM chip physically moved) for the drive to function correctly. If you can have the ROM chip transplanted locally, a qualified computer technician can usually perform that service. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
