This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB should be used only after confirming it is the correct replacement for your drive. Most of these circuit boards store unique parameters in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate properly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
