This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
