This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repairing a compatible Seagate drive. Before ordering, confirm this PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store critical, unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If transfer is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
