This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs include unique data stored in the ROM memory chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be transplanted, a local computer repair technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
