This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery projects. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in the ROM ("memory") chip; this ROM content is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant.
